French Press
I tried the French Press and I find it difficult to get the yield for which I measured. I found that an 8 oz serving requires about 2 to 3 more ounces of water than 8 ounces to make up for the loss due to absorption. My wife wanted a 16 oz thermos of Choffy. This took 20 ounces of water and 20 teaspoons of Choffy. I barely was able to pour 16 oz. out of the press. It took several minutes to get it to come out. So I had to waste 4 teaspoons of product and 4 oz of water to get 16 oz. Maybe there is a better way to make this?

Choffy
In the Frenchpress is kept hot for quite awhile. However I actually brew it in another type of apparatus and then transfer it to the Choffy frenchpress to keep it hot. I do this mostly because the other apparatus has a micro filter and doesn’t allow the Choffy grounds to come through the way the Choffy press does.
