Capri Leather Sneaker in Tundra

Great Capris!!

I really love my new capris! They're super comfortable, stylish, and easy to wear. They've definitely been a great addition to my wardrobe, and I feel like I look a little better every time I put them on. The fit is great, and I've already gotten a few compliments. So happy with this purchase!

Excellent customer service, excellent quality, but a design flaw...

Let's start with the good. I pre-ordered this shoe, it was my first shoe from Koio. It arrived and it was too big. I don't know that I've ever returned a shoe for being too big. I'm almost always sizing up, but in this case I had to size down. The Koio return process was amazing. It was fast, they were responsive, I received the replacement very quickly. This brings us to the shoe itself. The overall quality is really good. I'd say the soles, uppers and general construction are among the best of the sneakers in my closet and that includes some high-end Italian brands. This is a very good quality shoe. There is a big downside though, at least for my foot. This shoe wasn't designed with any sort of "cushion" or "padding" at the back of the shoe where it meets the back of your heal/ankle. I threw these on to make sure they fit, they did after sizing down. So I wore them for a quick outing to the grocery store. By the time I walked from the car into the store the back of my ankle felt a bit irritated, I just figured breaking in a new shoe. Another minute or two and it was genuinely hurting, like a had skinned my ankle. When I got home I removed the shoe to find that I had indeed cut the bank of my ankle and it was bleeding. I've got many pairs of shoes and not had this experience before. So after a few days of healing I put a bandaid on as preventative measure and wore them again, experimenting throughout the day with various levels of tightness and looseness and it didn't seem to make much difference. I hope these break in and at some point stop this, but not having any sort of cushion in this area seems like a major oversight. My other sneakers all have this. If these work for you then I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Koio, their customer service or their quality, but just know this particular shoe seems to have a bit of an issue.
