Duncraft Squirrel Proof Suet Sanctuary

Very disappointed. Not at all worth the price. The thin wire hanger detached the first time I hung it up and the whole thing bent terribly upon hitting the ground. I reattached the hanger and pinched the ends of it tighter and reshaped the cage. Still, within a few hours, a squirrel must have jumped on it and the hanger again broke off this time because the section of the wire cage it was attached to wasn’t secured to the next section so it bent, releasing the hanger. Poor quality, definitely not worth the price. Very disappointed as I expected more from Duncraft.

Worked for squirrels but the racoons got it down and took suet.

The suet sanctuary worked well to keep the squirrels out however a racoon managed to break the holder on one side and get the unit out of a tree where it was on a pulley and ate all the suet. Once I fix it I will try just putting it on my duncraft birdfeeder stand and see if it fairs better there. I also could not tell if the large woodpeckers were able to get at the suet when it was on the tree. If anyone has other ideas

Looks well made. Will start using it in October.
