Raw vs. Roasted?

Surprised that my backyard birds didn't go for these roasted peanuts. I've learned that raw, or raw in the shell is preferred for the crows, jays etc... I think its a location issue.

My birds and squirrel buddies live these treats. A feeder placed in one tree for birds and a small feeder in another tree for nutty buddies.
