So disappointed with this variety. It’s an impressive grower and sets a lot of fruit, HOWEVER, of all 42 tomatoes that have been set in the last 6 weeks, only 4 tomatoes did not have blossom end rot (yet). I will also note that the other 4 paste tomato varieties in the same bed with the same fertilization schedule and auto drip watering do not have the same % of blossom end rot as this plant. I also realize that the percentage with BER tends to drop as the season goes, but it’s highly highly disappointing when you allot precious garden space for an indeterminate variety that has such terrible production. I just wanted to ensure that other growers understood the drawbacks of this variety before purchasing.

Your seeds have an almost 100% germination rate. I have ordered multiple packets several times and they all turned out great. Thank you!

Still 5 Stars...
Every time I grow paste tomatoes I get blossom end rot (even when other tomato plants thrive in the same bed). So I'll chuck this up to user error and still give this one 5 stars based on growth and looks. Plant grows extremely well in zone 10a with dark green leaves and lots of flowers. Tomatoes seem to grow in bunches of 4 or 5 and are large! My first bunch are still green but I already see the blossom end rot on all but one. The one that doesn't have it is huge! So I hope I get to taste that one. There are appx 15 more fruit growing on this plant and I'm sure there will be more. It's currently over 5 ft and growing right up and through my arched cattle panel. Hopefully I'll get enough to make a big batch of pasta sauce :-)
