Super strong year for our squash....plenty of spring rain and good but cooler than normal weather kept the bugs at bay and we had a ton of it this summer with little or no pest pressure! I just cleaned the plants out (momma said she was DONE with putting them up and/or cooking and eating them!) Just bought some HOSS Iron Clay Peas and Buckwheat to provide a cover crop!

Been growing Gentry squash for years because it's one of the absolutely best producing varieties of squash I've ever planted. Protect it against downy and powdery mildew however.

The picture that is shown in the description is exactly what you can grow with minimal effort. I am 58 and I have been farming/ gardening for 54 years and gentry has been the easiest to grow. Even if you are a beginner, gentry will make it seem as if you had many years of experience.
