Omoide Yokocho Book Nook Kit

Brings me back to omoide yokocho and the smell of teriyaki and sound of the grill. The vibe may be a bit too calm for how I remember it and the only missing piece that completes the memory is the crowd and people’s chatter. As for the crafting aspect, it’s very relaxing and I couldn’t wait to see the final product. My only pain point was how some pieces need a bit of pressure to snap into place, which causes some glued on pieces to detach. Also, the stickers don’t hold very well on wood and I had to glue some of them on, particularly around the lanterns and electrical boxes. I believe an LED strip would have worked better visually for the floor sign (p34) I’m looking forward to building more stuff!

Went together easily. Well explained pictorial instructions and well crafted/cut pieces that fit together perfectly. Definitely worth the $ compared to others on the market.

This was a fun build. The drink dispenser and the food details are so awesome. The middle lighting with the globes was my favorite detail. Great experience!
