A Remarkable Cooler
I got this for my parents for their wilderness trips and just got a chance to use it myself. The Oyster cooler is a nice piece of equipment. It has great features, like strap removal, opening both sides or just one side (either one!!), and a perfect fit for its ice blocks. I love that pieces can be replaced too. We used this cooler for our meats and half and half for the trip. Even though we opened it a number of times for half and half for our coffees, we had a piece of halibut in there that was frozen solid for DAYS, keeping all our food so fresh. I will get a couple more ice blocks so that we can swap them once during our wilderness week. This is an excellent piece of equipment. I do recommend it and I am glad that I purchased it. My parents say it is "svelte". It certainly is easy on the eyes.

Best Cooler We've Ever Had
This little cooler outperforms our others (RTIC, Yeti) in every single category. The same amount of food we'd store in our other coolers will fit in this much smaller footprint and stay cold much longer. We were able to keep food cold for three days with the ice packs. Switching to ice on the fourth day lasted three more. I love the simplicity so much and doubt we ever decide to get a 12v fridge. This is the best for our increasingly simple and versatile camp set up.

As far as I can see
I bought a cooler at full price, then an oops edition. Unless it’s an internal issue like missing insulation, it looks better then the full price cooler. I haven’t really compthem yet, but I’m pleased with the looks.
