Fun to sew!

I really enjoyed making these trousers. The pattern and instructions are very clear and concise. I made them over a weekend which is very quick for me. I’m going to make another pair with a couple of alterations, which will be to add an inch to the lower leg length (I’m 5’6”), move the back pockets up an inch and perhaps increase the back crotch curve and rise a bit. I feel like the design is better suited to a flat bottom, which I do not have! But I do love the shape of these. They are so different to anything else I’ve seen.

Such a great pattern. Easy to follow, quick to sew, and a brilliant outcome. I learnt some new skills along the way too. I'm starting on my next pair; a gift for my sister because she was so complimentary about my fabulous new archer work pants. Thanks matchy matchty x

Blown away

I have been sewing for over 40 years and am also able to draft my own patterns. I had yet to find a pair of barrel pants pattern that I was happy with. I have found them in the Archer pants. I should have made a mock up because they do run on the bigger size but oh my word what a clever construction. I am in love. I have just finished a black linen pair and can't wait to make another one.
