Summer Jewel Red Salvia is a Hummingbird Magnet

This is my favorite profusely flowering plant for summers. I have been growing them in containers, in the ground and in hangers for over a decade. When you dead head them there are buds that are ready to open within a weeks time behind the dead blossom. I have so many Hummingbirds in my yard that no matter where I go there are at least two if not eight hummers in any given area. The bright red color pops and they last the whole season. No garden can be considered complete without Summer Time Salvia included in a planting.

Fantastic!!

They grew biggers than I expected which is not a bad thing. I think I over composted my new hummingbird bed and they dis wonderfully this year! I will grow these every year from now on. Hummingbird, bees and butterflies loved them!
