ATS Nag1 / 722.6 Automatic Transmission Package, 2012-2018 Jeep Wrangler 4WD

We installed this stage 2 transmission in our 2012 Jeep JK Unlimited Rubicon. Installation was rather easy. The hardest part was we replaced the cooler lines and cooler and the lines are hard to get around the radiator support. The transmission does well all around. Our Jeep had over 250k miles and the only note I will make is with 34” tires and 3.73:1 gears (std in the automatic rubicons) there is a little pulsing when the lockup is engaged at low engine RPM. This is not a transmission issue but that the high mileage engine does not like this low (1,500 ish) rpm range and surges slightly. Overall shifting is clean and smooth. I personally don’t like my transmissions to slip much between gears. They have a good balance of smooth and quick shifting. I will not with any computer controls automatic it does need to tune in some to get to a good point on the shifting. All in all we are happy and I would purchase this again.
