Black Saffron is Stunning!

I am a huge fan of Byredo fragrances and wanted to see why people love this one so much. It is a soft fruity perfume but it’s not overly sweet. The leather gives a nice base to it. I’m enjoying my time with the 5ml!

Unfortunately on my body, the saffron here pulls rather old ladyish. I kept getting whiffs of poutporui all day and wondering where it was coming from, only to realize it was me! It's a lot more long-lasting than most other Byredo, so it has that going for it. It kind of reminded me of my aunt's leather couch - she smokes cigarettes, so her couch kind of smells like tobacco in a cozy, distant kind of cigarette smell way. I got way more cigarettes smoke than leather, and no raspberry at all. I think it's a really pretty scent, but too mature for what I'm going for. Endlessly grateful to Scentsplit for making these perfumes accessible to me to try before I commit to a full bottle of anything - this will be a pass for me, but I'm excited to try my next decant on the list!
