Brown Crab Meat

Just a word of warning. The meat was (we think) very good. Unfortunately we defrosted it as per one of the suggestions under running cold water and only realised after 20 minutes there was a very small hole in the plastic packaging facing where the water was coming from. This meant the crab meat was now very diluted! We did our best to strain it out but it obviously led to a somewhat reduced taste. Not complaining about the Fish Society, the hole was very small and even when we realised what had happened it took us a while to find it. But maybe worth adding a note on the defrosting notes to check for such an eventuality.

Just lovely tasting crab meat.

Very good quality. I wished it could be supplied in a plastic pot though, rather than a pouch/bag. I only use part of it at any one time and it's very difficult and messy to try to remove a small quantity, while avoiding to thaw it out altogether. It would be much easier to do this from a pot.
