MountainHunter Sling

I liked it. But I really wanted to love it.

I really wanted to love it. But I just liked it. As soon as I saw the videos, I knew this was the sling I was looking for on the turkey gun. I appreciate all the branded detail — even the swivel studs had the GN logo engraved. Adjusting took a little getting used to. I found that I had to have the sling under a bit of tension to be able to make quick and smooth adjustments. The one part that was lacking for me was the ability to do cross-body carry. I think my particular gun and stock, Mossberg 835 with Choate Pistol Grip Stock, was too long to be able to do that. Maybe there was user error involved when I ordered. I'm not sure if there were different lengths available. Maybe I can experiment without the Air Grip pad.

I could not be more pleased with the Mountain Hunter Lite sling. I’ll be ordering more for my family as gifts. Perfect for long hikes in the Pennsylvania woods.
