Safari Tuff makes it so easy to build the perfect hunting arrow. These brass inserts paired with some kimsha hot melt are a killer pair! 10/10 would recommend!

Taipan 500 spine
I purchased the 500 spine taipan to shoot out of a longbow not cut to center. Standard size carbon arrows were grouping way left so I thought the thinner arrows might bring the groups back to center. I fletched the full length Taipans with 3” parabolic feathers and used 100gr brass inserts with 125 grain field points and the aluminum point collar. The bow was 48 pound at my 30” draw. I was extremely pleased with the results. Point of impact moved significantly back to the right and the arrows flew like darts. The only problem was removing them from the bag targets. The shoulder of the collar hung up on the cover making them very hard to remove. Foam targets wasn’t as bad. I contacted the owner by email asking for a solution and he asked me to call which I did. I asked him if half outs were made for this shaft and he said he didn’t recommend them because the Taipans might break if I hit a piece of metal in a 3-d target or a rock or even stump shooting. He also said the Kobra shafts were cross weaved and could handle the stress of the half outs. If you want to target practice on bags, I suggest purchasing the Kobra with half outs. The owner was honest and forthcoming and I appreciate that. The quality of the components was excellent. Also, the Taipans flew great out of a 44 lb Black Hunter longbow and 46 lb Discovery ILF recurve with no modifications to point weight.
