I have many dulcimers. I play daily for 1-2 hours, and rotate dulcimers so all of them are played often. I like to change strings about every 4-6 months. I like to get Folkcraft strings because they are the sizes I like. Ordering on line is simple and the selection is great.

Super warm strings

GHS string buyer just switched to Folkcraft ball end warm strings. They completely changed the tone of my instrument from the “jing jing metallic sound” to a very warm sweet softer “sooush sooush” tone. Simply amazing!
