The pressure's off with fret slots
The fret board was my biggest concern when I began making my own dulcimers. This Book has made the "V" in VSL look smarter the builder. I highly recommend the use of a digital caliper and get the measurement to a Knat's wing. When you cut the fret slot and get off a fraction, it's more forgiving. I like my slots on the money too so don't short cut the fret board. This book makes a builder look like a pro.

Fret Spacing Reference book
We have been designing and building custom mountain dulcimers here in western Washington State for about 8 years and am only sorry it took this long to get this handy reference book. It is most helpful to have a column that shows the note name for each fret. The only thing that would have made it better would to have a column for measurements in fractions of inches for those of us that don't have rulers marked in 1,000's.
