Good Book to Get Started With
This is a good collection of songs in a variety of genres. I have a similar book for mandolin. The author(s) did a good a job of selecting the tunes. The book is well organized, has high quality construction and a good value for the money.

great easy play songbook poprock and folk songs
Typical Hal Leonard songbook high quality features that you see in their guitar and other instrument songbooks - chord diagrams for chords in each song, notes and tab for each, the melody notes in bold so you know what to emphasize to carry the tune, as well as lyrics. Clear well-printed music with easy to read sharp contrast. No recordings for these songs, but you probably know what they sound like anyway.

First 50 Songs After You Become Proficient
I have been playing mountain dulcimer for a year. The songs in this book are a lot more difficult than I expected. It is definitely not for beginners, in my opinion. I will work at learning them, but there a lot of other songs I will master before these. My real complaint is the was the book was bound. I cannot use it on a music stand without using several clips to hold the book open. Also, for songs longer than 2 pages, I need to be able to scan and print the 3rd page to be able to play it. I cannot get a good scan on my flatbed scanner because of the binding. I really wish the book had been spiral bound. I am going to take the book to a print shop and have the binding cut off, and have it spiral bound. I really like the songs in the book and am looking forward to being able to play them. Some day.
