Its the perfect balance between the hm50r v2 and the hm61r v3. It has what the hm50r v2 is missing. A low level white and red led around 5 lumens when you only want light at arms length but dont want to disturb your vision beyond. I use it as both a 90 deg light and a headlamp. I love having both flood and spot options on the larger hm61 v3 but sometimes you need a smaller light. All 3 work great!
