Minty goodness

I’ve smelled this before….

Yuma was a pleasant surprise at first spray, but the more I wore it the more familiar it started to feel. Right away the fragrance reminded me of the modern citrus-amber style popularized by Bvlgari Tygar and fragrances inspired by it, such as Sospiro Vibrato. The opening is bright, sparkling, and clean with that signature combination of vibrant citrus and smooth woody ambers. It’s undeniably attractive and very easy to like. The citrus feels fresh and energetic while the woody base keeps everything polished and refined. The fragrance has a very smooth and modern character that would work well in many situations. The problem for me is that it doesn’t really bring anything new to the table. Since I already own Vibrato, Yuma ends up feeling a bit redundant in my collection. The overall scent profile sits very much in that same territory—bright citrus opening followed by a clean, woody-amber drydown. That said, there is nothing wrong with the fragrance itself. If someone doesn’t already own Tygar, Vibrato, or something in that style, Yuma would be a very enjoyable and versatile scent. For my personal collection, however, it simply overlaps too much with Vibrato to justify adding another bottle.
