Men's Guardian Air Jacket

Must have for bikepacking!!

I decided have upgrade my ultra light rain gear from gear that did indeed pack down very small but in the end wasn’t fully water resistant in heavy rain. I purchased the Guardian Air jacket and Guardian apex pants and I am very pleased with the fit and performance thus far. The jacket does pack down decently small, not super compact but small enough considering you have the reassurance you have a fully water proof jacket on hand. I’ve worn it on two rides in the rain so far and it has been great. It does not flap in the wind, has maintained dryness and was not overly warm where I started to sweat. I’m 6’2”, 175lbs and ordered the medium as suggested. I was skeptical it would maybe be too small with having mid layers underneath but that is not the case. I am very pleased with the fit. My only one complaint… I’m not a fan of the hood cinching system. I have other jackets where you can cinch the hood and it fits snugly on your head and keeps the visor in a good spot. This current guardian air hood design could be improved IMO. When I pull the cinch cord, the fit seems odd to me. The attempt to release the cinch is also not super user friendly. I can live with this minor set back due to the rest of the jacket being top notch. But the next update on this jacket should work on this design.

I really like this air jacket. It’s incredibly lightweight and comfortable for any type of ride and hike. Definitely recommend
