Important note. Some refrigerators use 3 fans. I wasted time looking for an air damper. The popular design that diverts cold air from the freezer compartment to the fresh food space. Note this: not all designs use dampers, like mine. That said, the fan described here is located low, inside the back wall of the fresh food space. Once that was known, and the thick ice was melted, the fan swap was straightforward.
