As my late husband of 65 years was a Navy veteran, the family room has a patriotic and nautical theme. The beautiful shell wreath hangs on a door leading to the adjacent sunroom which carries out the theme with place mats and beach candles. Above the mantel in the family room is a wooden anchor wreath backed by a fishnet with seashells on the mantel and glass candlesticks filled with shells. Anchors on pillows and on a small hearth rug and table scarf repeat the theme. Nearby is a photo of my husband in his Navy uniform when he enlisted.
