Awesome product, went to a concert with seats straight ahead and the first performer had sooo many bright LEDs that the entire audience had to shield their eyes. I don't know the science behind it but using these earplugs actually helped with the bright lights and they didn't degrade the sound at all, definitely a quality product especially when you can feel the vibration of the bass hit and you don't end up deaf!
