5 Stars for the Salsa, 2 Stars for the shopping experience
Let me start with the good. The salsa is one of my favorites. The Smoked Jalapeño flavor is great. It's one of those salsas that is hard to enjoy in moderation. There's a nice mix of heat, smoky flavor, texture, and acidity. This has a little heat, but not like some of the other salsas and sauces from Spicin. This is a salsa that I would feel comfortable serving guests at my home in Minnesota where they consider black pepper spicy. Now to the bad. The most recent shopping experience was not good. I placed an order on November 4th for a dozen units of Pain is Good #218 Smoked Jalapeno Salsa. I received confirmation of the order and went about my business. When December rolled around, I noticed that my order hadn't shipped. I attempted to reach Spicin foods by their phone number. I could not get a hold of a person. I sent an email to the email address in the confirmation email. Nobody responded. I later found a form on their website and sent a message. I did not receive a reply, but I did see that my order shipped a couple days later. I was concerned about this because we were out of town during the winter in MN. I was afraid that the products would be damaged by the freezing cold. No need for concern on the freezing, the package arrived after we returned from our trip. There is a need for concern on the package, however. We ordered 12 units. 8 were shipped. I sent an email upon receipt of the package, but the only thing resembling a reply was this survey. We'll have to see how this plays out. I'm disappointed by the company's level of customer support and how they've handled the fulfillment of this order. They dropped the ball in not shipping the product in time. They dropped the ball by not shipping the right quantity of product. If they had any kind of process in place for their fulfillments, they would have known that a package containing 8 jars of salsa has a different weight than a package containing 12. They should weigh every package before it ships. If accuracy were important to Spicin foods, they would verify that the weight of a package is within an expected value before actually giving the package to the carrier. Furthermore, they should make it easy for their customers to reach a representative so that issues like this can be handled like a company that values the business of their customers.

The Only One!
This is the best salsa! I love “smoked” foods and this fits the bill. You’d think living in Texas I might be able to find something local, but no! I order 6 jars every time and give 2 to my SIL for all the heavy lifting he does for me😄I absolutely love Pain Is Good smoked jalapeño salsa!
