Portofino Leather Sneaker in Triple White

Nice Minimalist Casual Shoe

I was looking for a shoe to replace the (discontinued) leather Vans Era that I've been buying for years. The Era's were always "just ok" because they only lasted a few months due to the soles not being sewn to the uppers and the cheap material on the inside. But at $70 a pop I could live with the flaws. After the Era's disappeared, the hunt was on for a shoe with a similar silhouette. I landed on the Portofino because I prefer less eyelets that what are on the Capris or CP achilles. So far these Portofino's are great. The outside leather is soft, the insole is comfortable and the construction of the shoe is high grade. Time will tell how they wear. I took off a star because the right foot feels like the arch is slightly higher and causes more pressure on my foot. I expect this will resolve itself in time as the shoes get more broken in. So far I'd guess I have about 30-40 hours of wear time and they have softened up a bit since they were brand new. I'd buy more of these in different color ways. Something like brown with a gum sole would be nice.
