Buyer Beware

This mount in theory is great, I bought two so I could swap my BC26R headlight around between bikes. However, there is a significant amount of play in the mounts, the light wiggles left to right audibly on both. This was my main light for a 3 day bikepacking trip and on the first gravel descent on day one the light was ejected off the mount never to be seen again. This left me without lights for the rest of the tour in a pretty remote wilderness area. Was pretty excited for this setup because of the ability to carry spare batteries, but I need something I can actually rely on. I won’t be purchasing another Fenix product.

Eventually failed

Holds the light great. After about 9 months, the clip eventually failed, but I held the light on with e-tape for the rest of the trip and until the new ones arrived in the mail. They are so cheap, it’s not a big deal. I just bought two more to have a backup. Everything breaks, get over it.
