My first old arber cake was everything I hoped for!
I am still fairly new to pu'er, so take this with a grain of salt, but I had found a young sheng that I really liked from a different vendor that is generally overpriced. So, after finding that tea's terroir and narrowing down to nearby villages/gardens, I came to YS looking for cakes of similar origin and with old-tree leaves. This fit the bill and I purchased my first "Dashu" cake. I am VERY pleased with my purchase! It is sweet, strong, slightly astringent but that quickly turns to a strong and sweet huigan, and I get senses of fruitiness in the subtler tastes and smells. I love everything about this tea, and will probably be coming back to it to buy more once I develop my palate a bit more. 9/10 and I highly recommend!
