Kakimori Metal Nib - Steel

Great versatile nib!

I initially bought this nib for ink swatching, but realized that it works very well for writing as well. Line thickness is adjustable based on the angle of writing. The nib holds a good amount of ink to write much longer than a standard dip pen. This is very useful if you have a bunch of inks but don't want to fill up an entire pen with it. The seller packed the nib very well and shipped very quickly. I highly recommend this nib and purchasing from Paper Mind!

Awesome nib. I read that it would work with speedball nib holder online on some threads but it doesnt. So i recommend buying the nib holder too.

Swatching Made Easy

For the last two years in my pen journey I have seen a lot of products. And as a pen newbie the hobby can be overwhelming. But though I am still learning about what I like as far as vintage pens and modern counterparts also I really built up my ink inventory more quickly than planned. And during that journey I found my own style of swatching my inks and have tried different tools. In 2023, I almost gave up on Kakimori nibs due to them being sold out everywhere. I purchased both this month. Not only has the stainless steel nib been a lifesaver for me but has proven an invaluable tool. Not only can I swatch my inks more quickly and I do not have to worry about contamination between my ink samples and ink bottles. I’m still experimenting in using it as a writing tool (I need to find the right nib holder…I am using one that may be too short for me). Very happy with the stainless steel nib.
