The Best Journal I've Ever Had

I love my new Tomoe River notebook!! The paper has such a nice lightweight feel to it (and awesome drape), but is a total champ when it comes to stopping bleed and ghosting (even my heavier pens aren’t enough to make a noticeable impact on the readability of text on the other side of the page, it looks so clean!!). Fitting so many pages into such a slim notebook is a miracle too. The paper is doing a great job of showing off my shimmering inks, and figuring looks so sexy on this stuff. Altogether, I prefer it to the original Tomoe river paper (controversial, I know, please don’t hurt me :’) )! The lay flat binding is my favorite part of this notebook; this makes journaling so so easy, and I think should be a must on every notebook ever, haha. The cover, end papers, binding and even blotting sheet all feel premium! I love the hard black cover, kinda reminiscent of the Moleskine books, which I love the look and feel of. The only let down here is the ribbon, which feels a little thin and cheap for this level of notebook, but thats not a huge deal at all haha. Altogether, the best journal I’ve ever owned. How writing with fountain pens should be!! (Also always nice to get a handwritten note from Blake in the super premium feeling packaging :) )

This little notebook is perfect. I wanted a TRP notebook with lines (shockingly difficult to find) that I could take to fountain pen meetups, and this is exactly what I needed!

Best quality notebook!

The Paper Mind Tomoe River notebook is by far the best A5 I have ever used. On top of the notebook a blotter paper is included so inks don’t transfer to the other page. The notebook has great attention to detail and I also received great customer service!!! I would like to have these notebooks in Red and Orange in the future.
