Not good for a shorter, mi disabled person

My husband is 5’8” as bd has later stages of Parkinson’s, which makes standing and moving about very difficult At 5’8”, when the bed rises to the stand position, I can easily get him in the bed. BUT - the “seat” is too deep, and he’s unable to move or maneuver himself back - there’s a good 6-8” space between er n his back & the upright back of the bed, when the bed is in sitting position. The “seat” of the bed area measures 26,” when it is in a sitting upright position, with the legs down. 26” is a very deep seat. Right now, we place 2 pillows behind his back until we can figure out a better solution. For flat sleeping, it is comfortable. To raise it upright, to get him out of bed, is good.
