Ultimate Mosi Tea Starter Bundle

Disappointed

I purchased two of the starter kits, one as a gift for my sister. I am not reviewing the tea as flavor is subjective. I did receive my order a few days later than promised, but that was the fault of USPS. I am strictly reviewing the bottle itself. The All-In-One bottle infuser is currently retailing for $65; however, it should be closer to $25 - $30. For a bottle this expensive I expected it to be made of glass, not plastic. Glass is easier to clean, doesn't leech chemicals, and easier to disinfect. It is double walled, but it appears that the inner wall that holds the liquid is very thin causing a lot of heat transfer to the outer wall. It also seems that the gap between the two walls isn't vacuum insulated so the heat transfers quickly between the two. In short, in about half an hour your tea is merely warm. The lid leaves much to be desired. First of all, it's all plastic, and the white plastic stains easily. It became stained after my first use. If you do not crank down the top part where your mouth goes, the bottle will leak. The latch is my biggest gripe about the lid. It is overengineered to the point that it is frustrating. First of all, it is also made out of plastic and looks thin. The lever type locking mechanism, combined with the slide lock, makes it nearly impossible to operate one handed easily. You have to push the top part of the latch to relieve some pressure off the slide lock, then you have to lift the bottom part of the latch and push down on the top of the lid in order to slide the top of the latch off the retaining lip just to open the bottle. The more the slide lock is used, the harder it is to slide. The "handle" is also too long. When you turn the bottle upside down to begin infusing, the handle gets in the way so you have to move it. All in all, it's a great concept with poor execution and massive up-pricing. With the good revies and advertisements, I am quite disappointed with the product. Makes me believe they delete the negative reviews. I will keep the bottle since the only upside is that it is convenient, but I am actively looking for a replacement.
