Bulky cover restricts use

I purchased these resistance bands because I have an unnatural fear of injury from a band snap. The FitCord bands appear well made and the fabric cover should provide adequate protection in case of a snap. I’m rating these only 3 stars because the cover restricts the use of the bands. If you step on a band to shorten it in order to perform an exercise (e.g. bicep curl, side pull, etc.) the fabric cover stops the band from adequately stretching. The bands work fine otherwise.
