Too much ink

I purchased this to apply to seals that had been embossed on paper. There is too much ink and it looks sloppy.

Nice idea but the ink is messy

I do like the way the seal is supposed to work but after several uses, I am getting ink outside of the seal and on my fingers. Not sure how to correct this.
