Very, very good.

I got this for trips to Hong Kong. I had 8 days of clothes some bits and pieces, a computer, an ipad mini, some books and my big noise cancelling headphones. That is the maximum it can take, but fantastic for my trips! It is very comfortable to walk about the airport and short distances even so heavily packed. If it was lighter packed, for a weekend say or even a 5 day trip it would be as near perfection as possible. All the organising pockets are perfect: access to the computer and the internal pockets are fuss free and it cannot be overstated how much that improves the processes of getting at things without fully opening the bag and searching about. The side pockets are great for water bottles and umbrellas, and the connection to the backstrap really secures things in place. Unfortunately my colleagues checked in luggage so I still had to wait at baggage reclaim. I could have checked it in, but I like it so much I didn´t want to give it to baggage handlers! The small sling bag that comes with it is a fantastic bonus. It is perfect for getting through security and I used it in all my walks around Hong Kong. I had to ride about on my Brompton with it before getting to the airport and it is tolerable but not great for that. Of course it is not designed as a bike backpack! I find the buckles awkward to use with it on, not prohibitively difficult, just awkward, especially to loosen. Perhaps there is a knack to them I have not yet discovered. Apart from those small quibbles, it´s a fantastic bag and ideal for my weekend to week long journeys, and so well made and beautiful I expect it to outlast me!

Great backpack

Just back from a trip sailing around Isla and Mull with these. Perfect size, enough room for 10 nights away, small enough to fit in the ship cabin, and on the sleeper. Nice and portable carrying about London and Glasgow. My only improvements would be, some way to attach a boot bag to the underneath, and a way to stow the rucksack straps, to avoid snags if it’s used as hold luggage.
