Most Convenient Option
Although I miss the meditative practice of preparing censer ash, this electric heating option is very clean and convenient for when I just want a quick fix or want to sample a wood chip or kneaded incense tablet. I have it set-up near my work desk for when I need to come down from those more stressful ZOOM calls or in between busy projects!

Awesome and the best incense heaters out there
I have several incense heaters, but this one is worth it. I have the $399 Shoyeido heater which you have to use plugged in and lean over to inhale. The Yamadamatsu one can be used plugged in or unplugged using its installed batteries. I also have a portable heater that uses charcoal which I don’t use as it causes VOCs and my dog has respiratory issues. The Yamadamatsu is perfect. It comes with several small envelopes with wood chips, three round mica plates, tweezers (all of which fit in the bottom compartment of the heater), and it’s perfect. It takes a long time to work and save $175 but this one is well worth it. I also bought the kneaded incense that comes in a black box from this site and it’s spicy, ethereal, wet, and romantic.
