Purple Jacaranda Mimosifolia Flowering Tree

Bought a smaller Jacaranda tree after a trip to Sydney last year. Planted probably pretty late in the season. Was doing well, but we had a sudden unexpected cold snap in the DFW area where temps got down into the low 20’s and I did not have it wrapped. Gave it what I thought was plenty of time, but was not coming back this spring so ordered this bigger tree. It came in great shape and seems to be thriving. GAve up o. The smaller tree about the first of April when everything else was coming out and it still looked dead. Cut it way back almost to the ground where I noticed some green. Put that in a pot and this week there are green shoots coming out strong so maybe??

It's a new tree, just planted it last week. But it seems healthy and hopefully it will grow quickly and bloom next year.

Shipping was very fast, I haven’t planted my 2 trees yet, but they are getting new sprouts and doing great!! Love them so far!!
