Not frisée, unfortunately
While these were growing, it was pretty clear that these seeds were not actually frisée-type endive, but I wasn't sure whether they were a broad leaf endive or some sort of butter leaf lettuce. I just harvested them and they do seem be broad leaf endive, not lettuce. Unfortunately, like other broad leaf endives I've tried, it's pretty bitter and a bit tough, suitable for cooking but not particularly enjoyable raw, which was how I was hoping to use it. The baby greens were more palatable raw, but I probably won't grow the rest of this packet.
