Replacement Headgear for ResMed AirFit F40 Full Face CPAP Mask

Great Replacement

I ordered a headgear replacement because mine had stretched out too much to be keep my mask tightly sealed. My replacement arrived quickly. The price was reasonable. It is nice to have my mask fit correctly again. I will order from Sleeplay again.

Neither Small or Medium size F40 headgear are ideal fit for me

I purchased a F40 mask with Medium size headgear. The upper straps are a good length for my head with good adjustability. However the lower straps are long and they just barely fit me. I need to pull the lower straps all the way tight until the strap ends touch each other at the back of my head. In the end, the Medium size headgear does work for me, but the straps will likely stretch with daily usage and I wouldn’t have any margin to tighten the lower straps any further. I purchased a Small size F40 headgear separately to see if it would fit me better. The lower straps are a good length for me with plenty of room for adjustability. However now the upper straps are too short! It barely fits me with the upper straps set to their absolute maximum length, with no room for further adjustment. It seems that my head size is right on the borderline between Small and Medium size for F40 headgear, and ResMed sizing of the straps doesn't allow for overlap. I’ve seen someone on the web write about cutting a couple of inches off the lower straps of the Medium size and sewing them back together. This may be the best option for me.

New type headgear

The headgear runs large. I suggest if you have a regular sized head to buy the medium. The new thin straps take a little more to get use to. But overall a great improvement over every thing else on the market.
