AWNLUX RV Slide Topper Awning Fabric Replacement

First time buyer, time will tell.

This is not the first time I have installed slide topper material. I used Solera 2 years ago; it was crumbling after only 2 seasons. I have now installed Awnlux on all 4 of my slide toppers. The material is definitely thicker than Solera. It is also a smoother finish. I would like to see the plastic cords preinstalled in the Awnlux. Trying to slide the cord into the edge is not easy. I think they are smoking something when they tell you to place the edge of the material in the slot of the rail on the trailer and just slide the plastic cord in. I had to install the plastic cord before putting the material into the rail. Silicone spray helped a lot. I will know more in a couple of years. It seems to be a much better product than Solera, Thicker, and smoother finish. I recommend laying the material out in the sun to flatten it, as it comes folded. the plastic cord would benefit from being coiled instead of twisted. it is very stiff. So far, I like it.

Exactly what I wanted

I’m a full timer stationary RVer. I decided it was time to upgrade a little so I installed an awning over my slide out. I’m surrounded by pine trees and four seasons so a quality method of protection is kinda necessary. After installing the awnlux fabric awning I’m impressed and I feel assured. It was super easy to install and with regular care I expect it to last a while. Thanks.

Topper awning

Good quality, shipped fast. Only negative was the hem ran off a little at one end so it’s not tight. 3/4 of it is snug.
