Worth Every Penny
I purchased an additional spool to go with my guru E series reel. Both the reel and the additional spool are great. The drag is easy to use and is very smooth. I matched it with a Maine company Euro nymphing 10 foot rod and the make a perfect pair!

Extra Spool
I had bought a Guru E reel to go with my new Diamondback 10'7" 3 wt Euro Nymphing rod- I more or less went down the Euro Nymphing Rabbit hole. The reel is everything they say it is, and since Diamondback says you can fish a floating line with it, I bought the extra spool and put a WF-3F SA fly line on it. I like to fish dry flies, and the rod is really good for that, too. And with the Sulpher hatch coming in a couple of weeks and on Memorial Day, I will be on the Beaverkill in NY, you can bet I am going to not only catch fish on nymphs but also on dry flies. I don't carry two rods when I fish like many do; that's the reason I bought the extra spool. I've been fishing with Lamson Reels for some time now, and having fished with a lot of reels, Lamson makes a very, very good product. If asked, I would say just buy it, you will like it.
