Interior Cat Door Right Hand Swing Kit for Hollow and Solid Core Doors

Know what you are buying and what you are putting it on. We have a wooden door with a foam core. This wasn’t revealed until I cut the door. That said, though this cat door has wonderful potential, it really needs to be applied to a door that can accept all screws securely. Ours does not, because of the foam core. As such, the cat door portion, the triangle, doesn’t close completely, and doesn’t allow the door to close without some additional force. It will eventually fail, and the door will need replaced if the triangle cannot be attached securely. Our cat will use it easily and it has great potential for the right door.

Awesome idea

What a simple idea, very well executed. Clearly a well engineered product. Only thing is if you have a hollow core door, while it will work, you may have to stuff some reinforcement inside the door cavity. I have two, and it works great.

Works great! My cat no longer scratches on our door.
