Hardware too large for small breeds

I bought the lavender harness and leash for a matching set. I have a 6 pound mi-ki. It fits her and is cute but the rings on the harness and the clip on the leash are large and heavy for her size. I thought they would be scaled down for small dogs but they are not. It is heavy on her neck if the leash is not taught.
