Despite being nigh two decades old, this tea's relatively dry storage has preserved some youthful characteristics. After a few day's rest in my short-term storage setup, it gives off a fresh and powerful stonefruit aroma. Still, the tea soup is a nice amber color, and age seems to have mellowed out the bulang material nicely. Anecdotally, this tea holds up to quite a few steepings and produces a powerful qi. For a tea in this price bracket (>$50 USD when I purchased!!), I see that as a pretty phenomenal value. Maybe not the right choice for plumbing the depths of pu'erh flavor experience, but definitely a low-risk way to secure 50-odd high-quality sessions for yourself and your tea-loving friends.
