They are quite roomy but enough space for a wool glove liner. I wear a 7.5 surgical glove and ordered a size medium. My fingers touch the end inside.

For the first time in my adult life, I can spend hours comfortably hiking, snowshoeing, and shoveling without my fingers immediately getting cold -- thank you! The Knife Edge mitts are outstanding in every way (and I love the wrist straps too -- great design feature). Highly recommend!
