Acadia Racerback Dress

Great summer dress — just wish it didn’t wrinkle so much

The lavender color is gorgeous — kind of shimmery. I was looking forward to a wool& dress in perhaps a more athletic style so I could wear it at times when I otherwise would wear my athletic dresses (my entire wardrobe is merino wool based other than the athletic dresses), and this style sorta meets that criteria but because of the length which I otherwise love, I can’t leave it on for most yoga practices, hiking with hills, etc. On the other hand the length helps shield my legs from the sun when outside without needing to wear full leggings. Fit — being post menopause pear shaped I was worried about this, but overall the fit is good. I could use a bit more ease in certain places but it’s comfortable. Many reviews I’m seeing talk about the armholes and being able to see one’s bra there, and at least on my right side that’s true for me, but that absolutely doesn’t bother me as it’s been true in many styles, and especially more athletic styles. I may even wear a contrasting bra on person in some situations. And if I’m going to wear it to work or another more formal situation I’m almost certainly going to layer over it anyway. What bothers me more, why I went with 4 instead of 5 stars is that it wrinkles and holds on to the wrinkles. Unlike styles that when hung damp will release wrinkles, this dress is not doing that. The photos I’m sharing are after wearing at work sitting at a desk and those creases/wrinkles are still there after hanging it up for over 24 hours. Otherwise a great overall dress.

Love this dress! Got a medium but exchanged for a small for a more comfortable fit. The fabric and color are incredible.
