I was excited to try this Damascus steel knife, but I’m now questioning whether it’s genuine. The pattern looks nice, but it feels suspiciously flat with no texture difference near the handle or spine, and the listing doesn’t specify a layer count both common signs of an etched pattern on regular steel rather than true forge-welded Damascus. That suspicion lines up with everything else: the colour I ordered wasn’t what arrived, it’s not full tang despite the price point, and the handle feels like cheap plastic rather than a premium material. For a knife in this price bracket, I expected better quality control and more honesty about materials. I’ll update this review once I’ve used it for actual cooking, but right now it feels like style over substance.

Excellent
As an ex chef of 7 years I’ve had my fair share of knives and this is honestly quite excellent. Big fan, I’ll be getting more

Very sharp
This knife offers a sharp edge and excellent maneuverability, complemented by a stylish design and a lightweight construction. It is recommended for precision tasks such as vegetable preparation and boneless meat, particularly poultry.
