Good tool, great price. It does have a "hollow" butt to slip over the hook eye if you use the bodkin to finish flies with half hitches.

The bodkin works great.

You can’t have too many of these. I use it to apply head cement to a fly- also clean out the hook eye. Use it to pick out dubbing
