Black berries

I bought two prime ark freedom black berries from wel gardens and they were delivered in a plastic bag which was in a small box during a week of temps over 100 degrees so by the time I got off work and found them they had cooked to a crisp so I called and the nursery reshipped the second delivery was on a cooler day and was found much earlier and us doing well

Died within a week.

I ordered three plants including this Rubus. I planted all three on the same day of the plant arrival, using a mixture of new garden soil, compost, and some slow release fertilizer pellets for acid loving plants. I also planted a few other plants from another online nursery that happened to arrive on the same day. All three plants from Wellspring nursery died within a week, with the leaves withering and eventually dropping. All other plants from the other online nursery are thriving. I'm in zone 9b/10a. These plants are supposed to do well in my zone. I have not had any failed transplants before. I can at least say that the plants from Wellspring nursery seem particularly fragile, and may need some very special transplantation methods to survive, in which case the nursery should have provided special transplant instructions for. Very disappointed.

I received the bushes, they were smaller than I thought they would be, but they arrived in very good condition. I am pleased with them and looking forward to watching them grow. Wish I had space for more of them.
