Choc & Nut Colombia

Wunderbar!!

I opened my account with a kg of Manhandling, another dark roast, but this is equally delicous, though I have yet to enter the bean's prime grind time yet- things can only get better still! I have enjoyed a couple of straight shots, and could really get the chocolate AND hazelnut tones. But as a beginner I'm surprised to find myself enjoying milkies more, and I find it easier to taste subtleties. I've settled (for what it's worth) on a #8 grind on my DF54, 18g to 40g in the cup, 27 seconds brew time. I like to pair it with Gorilla Zkittles.

Choc & Nut Columbia

This bean I found a little more difficult to dial in, moreover, difficult to find the best grind size. However, once I had got it right it did produce a lovely, strong and chocolatey coffee, made as a flat white.
